Jamie of Designklub is my cousin. She has consistently inspired us with her ability to get shit done. A pop-up, low-budget, high-end community museum in downtown Denver? Not a problem apparently, she made it happen.
Designklub has gone international this year while Jamie is in London (getting her masters in Design Curation). While in Europe she’s checking out all the design weeks and museums she can fit in…
While out in Colorado for a recent Lululemon shoot we dropped by the Park Meadows store. When not lusting over everything on the shelves we took a few photos of the posters that were made from some of Caddie’s previous shoots. Take a look…
Evan Hecox, “The Crossing,” 2009
Evan Hecox’s “The Last Thousand Years” is showing at the Joshua Liner Gallery in New York through October 10th. I was first turned onto Evan Hecox back when his Mexico City series was showing in LA. I have Kitsune Noir to thank for that, as well as for the heads up on “The Last Thousand Years.”
While I like nearly everything Hecox does, I’m a bit of a sucker for the collage-style pieces.
Caddie, unfortunately, is not onboard the Hecox bandwagon. I’m working on that, but she’s kinda stubborn.

Caddie has been down-for-the-count ever since she shot her short film two weeks ago. One week of the flu led to pneumonia, and that’s pretty much that for at least another week. As a result we’ve been watching a lot of TV, and generally not doing much.
Some unexpected upside happened Saturday night. I was channel surfing and saw that Thomas Campbell’s The Present was on. I missed the beginning. What I did see made me think this might be my favorite Campbell film yet. Quirky, of course, but it seems like maybe he toned down the quirk. This is a good thing. I love his style, but sometimes the odd Conquistador tangents detract from the experience. Instead of Conquistadors, The Present has Dan Malloy surfing in a coffin. Just awesome.
I kinda love this. Now if only I were more crafty…

Radiohead has a new track out, go get it…
